Former Chief of Army Staff, Buratai, Honored with Traditional Title in Anambra

The Igwe of Aguleri Kingdom, Anambra State, Dr. Mike Idigo V, has bestowed upon Lt. Gen Tukur Yusufu Buratai (rtd) the prestigious traditional title of Ochiagha EjiEji Ogu-Aguleri.

The ceremony took place yesterday during the Annual Aguleri fiesta.

The title Ochiagha EjiEji Ogu-Aguleri, which translates to “Aguleri Warrior in times of war,” was awarded to Buratai in recognition of his leadership style as the former Chief of Army Staff and his dedication in safeguarding the people of Aguleri, Anambra State, Nigeria, and the Sahel region as a whole.

The conferment of this title holds significant meaning as Aguleri is renowned as a land of warriors.

Thus, the recognition served as a token of appreciation and acknowledgement of Buratai’s exceptional skills displayed in various military operations.
