Financial Autonomy: JUSUN Obliges Meeting Governors Forum.

Judiciary Staff Union of Nigeria (JUSUN) has resolved to honour invitation of a meeting from Governors Forum on April 14, 2021 to fine-tune issue of financial autonomy for the Judiciary.

This was part of the resolutions of the union during its National Executive Council (NEC) meeting, held at the union’s Headquarters, Abuja.

Acccording to the resolutions reached and signed by Organising Secretary of union Comrade Ali Mustapha maintained that the union will similarly honour the invitation extended to it by the Minister of Labour and Productivity on 12th April, 2021 to discuss the way out of the present strike action.

Comrade Ali also said the NEC has resolved to inform Chief Judge of Nigeria (CJN) to understand why JUSUN refused to call off its strike action despite his plea to the union.

The Union also resolved that Calling off the strike will defend on the positive outcomes of the meetings with Nigeria Governors Forum and that of the Minister of Labour and Productivity.

JUSUN further directed its chapters and branches nationwide to continue the enforcement of the strike action in all the courts and Judicial Institutions, across the country.
