Fandubu Emerges New Kano MULAN Chair

The new Chairman, Muslim Lawyer’s Association of Nigeria (MULAN), Kano State Branch, Barrister Sanusi Lawan Fandubu, has stated his readiness to integrate the spirit and teachings of Islam and foster unity and cooperation among Muslim Lawyers in the State.

Barrister Fandubu made the disclosure while delivering speech after he was sworn in as a new Chairman of the Association, held at conference  room, Kano State High Court.

He solicited for prayers and cooperation of the public and entire Muslim Lawyers in Kano.

He pointed out that the new executive members will conduct an advocacy visit to its key stakeholders with a view to promoting the cause of Islam and legal profession in the state.

Also in his remark, Kano State Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Musa Abdullahi Lawan, called on the new leaders to re-double their efforts towards ensuring MULAN in Kano grow to optimal level.

The Commissioner assured that his door is always open for support and advise, stressing that assisting MULAN to developed, is sacred duty to every Muslim Lawyer.

Also in his speech, Professor Nasir Adamu Aliyu, (SAN), traced the historical background of MULAN, stated that the Association came into being when  late Alhaji Aliyu Umar (SAN) conceived the idea.

He further stated that MULAN was established to promote sound, religious and professional ethics amongst members, and improve welfare of all members and well-being of all people on principle of Islam and Justice.

The legal luminary enjoined Members of the Association to always give their dues to the Association, as when due for the Association to successfully execute its plans.

Earlier in his address, Suraj  Sa’edaj, (SAN), Chairman Shura Committee, congratulated the new executive members and urged them to live up to the expectations.

Also speaking, Barrister Huwaila Muhammad, Ibrahim, immediate past chairperson, FIDA in Kano, expressed her happiness seeing female Muslim Lawyers participating in the  activities of MULAN, encouraging them to always  participate in the activities of Association.

In his address, Kadi Ahmad Muhammad Gidado advised members of the Group to fear God in the discharge of their activities.

He reminded the new Executive members that,  leadership comes with a lot of responsibilities, adding that every leader shall account of his action in the hearafter.
