Alhassan Yahya has received another major endorsement from the Enugu NUJ Council Delegates, who have adopted him as their preferred presidential candidate ahead of the Owerri 2024 election.
This development is a significant boost to Alhassan’s campaign, as he seeks to lead the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) after Owerri Triennial National Delegates Conference on November 27, 2024.

The endorsement was made during a meeting presided over by the Enugu Council Chairman, Comrade Sam Udekwe which was well-attended by SEC members comprising state executive; chapel chairmen, and secretaries from the state.
This show of support from the Enugu NUJ Council Delegates is a testament to Alhassan’s popularity and acceptance among journalists in the region.
The mover of the motion for the adoption of Alhassan Yahya was Benson Whyte Ezeugbo of the Correspondents’ Chapel and seconded by Comrade Hyginus Odo of State Information chapel respectively.
