Eid-el-Kabir: VGN deploys 7500 personnel to support other security agencies in Kano

The Vigilante Group of Nigeria (VGN), Kano State Branch,  has deployed 7500 personnel to work in collaboration with other security agencies to have a hitch-free Sallah festivities in the state.

Kano Commander of the Group, Alhaji Ubale Barau Badawa made this known while addressing Journalists on the level of preparations ahead of this year’s festivities.

Badawa who was represented by the Group Spokesperson in Kano, Usman Muhammad Dandaji said VGN will work hand in hand with the Police, NSCDC and other security agencies, toward having rancour free and successful sallah festivities in Kano.

He called on the general public to be vigilant and report to security agencies any suspicious movement of strange individual or group of persons.

Badawa noted that the Group will support security agencies at all eid grounds across 44 LGAs of Kano State.

He urged parents to keep proper monitoring of their wards to prevent immoral activities in society.

He felicitated with  Muslims in Kano and Nigeria as a whole for witnessing this year’s eid el kabir.

Badawa described the period as a sacred one calling on people not to deviate from righteous path.
