Kano State Ministry of Environment has embarked on clearing the eid grounds in the metropolis in preparation of the forthcoming Eid-el-Kabir prayer.
In a statement by Sunusi A. K/Naisa, Chief Public Relations Officer, Ministry of Environment, Kano.
This was revealed by the Commissioner of the Ministry, Dr. Kabiru Ibrahim Getso while inspecting the exercise at Kofar Mata Eid Ground today (Thursday).
Dr. Getso maintained that Kano state government is working tirelessly to make Kano as clean as possible.
Earlier, the Commissioner paid a similar to Sharada Eid Ground, along BUK Road, where refuse and other unwanted materials were evacuated.
He however urged Kano residents to avoid indiscriminate disposal of waste, especially the excrete from animals to be slaughtered as Sallah sacrifice (layya).
In a statement by Sunusi A. K/Naisa, Chief Public Relations Officer, Ministry of Environment, Kano, Dr. Getso also facilitated with the people in the State for the upcoming festive occasion.
