The State Commandant, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Kano State Command, Commandant Adamu Salihu has approved the deployment of 1,500 operatives at strategic places for smooth conduct of Easter festivities in Kano.
DSC Ibrahim Idris Abdullahi, CDPRO, Kano command made the disclosure in a statement issued.
He however said by this, the general public especially Christian faithfuls are assured of adequate security coverage to places of worship and recreational centres during and after the celebration.
“This is in addition to beefing up security and providing protection to all critical national assets and infrastructure.”
