Delta State Police Command on Monday says it has arrested three suspected kidnappers and recovered cache of weapons and explosives.
During a press briefing held at the Command Headquarters Asaba, the Commissioner of Police, CP Wale Abass, said the arrest of three suspected kidnappers followed an exhaustive investigation and aided by intelligence, the Divisional Police Officer, CSP Paul Oboware, who led his team to apprehend the suspects in Ofuoma, Ughelli North LGA.

He continued that subsequent searches of their hideout yielded four AK-47 rifles, one pump-action gun, one locally made gun, one locally fabricated Beretta pistol, 58 rounds of 7.62mm ammunition, cartridges, five packs of improvised explosive devices (IEDs), six non-electric detonators, and eight empty magazines.
He explained that the arrested suspects have confessed to their involvement in the crime and are cooperating with the ongoing investigation.
The Commissioner of Police, Abass commended the officers involved and emphasized the commitment to combating kidnapping and other criminal activities in the state.
