Zahra Buhari-Indimi a daughter to President Muhammadu Buhari has demanded a public apology from Sahara Reporters online media over allegations of injurious and defamatory publication against her reputations.
The demand was contained in a letter from Bashir, Nasiru and Co andb signed by Dr. Nasiru Aliyu SAN, on behalf of Mrs Zahra.
According to the Letter, Zahra is alledging that Sahara Reporters has defamed her character by publishing injurious stories against her.
“Our letter is in respect of your publication made on 5th March, 2021 with the headline ” How APC Chieftain, Danu and Custom Boss defrauded Nigerian Government of N51 Billion, wired N2.5 Billion to Buhari’s daughter”
” Some top custom operatives and one Alhaji Nasiru Haladu Danu shared N51 Billion. N25 Billion out of the fund transferred to a foundation owned by President Muhammadu Buhari Daughter” it alleged
Zahra buhari stated that contrary to the allegde malice publications in Sahara Reporters that she is truly a Daughter to President Muhammadu Buhari’ and she has never perpetrated any fraud nor involved in any fraudulent activity.
She also denied defrauding Nigerian Government N51 Billion or any sum of money at all and in any form.
In the letter, Zahra Buhari-Indimi emphasized that she is a law abiding citizen and full time house wife, who is being supported by her husband.
” Our Client is not aware of any President Muhammadu Buhari’ oils Mafia Group or have connection with any person of such name”
The letter maintained that the publication by Sahara Reporters was a calculative attempt to defame her reputations.
“Our Client equally and un-equivocally stated that no any foundation owned by her transferred or credited with such amount of money” it added
She lamented that Sahara Reporters made a publications against her reputations with the actually knowledge that the content was false and full malice.
” The Damaging publication was recklessly made without any effort to ascertain the authenticity and this is clear by non disclosure the name of the foundation credit to our client, its bank name, account number, address and the details and at details and of when the purported N2.5 Billion was paid to the account among others”
In the letter, Zahra through her Counsel Dr. Nasir Aliyu SAN is demanding Sahara Reporters to retract damaging publications against her person.
It also demanded the online media to retract all injurious publications on all its social media platforms.
She also demanded a public apology for 7 consecutive days from various media platforms belonging to Sahara Reporters.
Similarly, Zahra is also demanding that
Sahara Reporters publish a public apology in at least 3 Newspaper with online and physical presence of 7 consecutive.
It further said if
Sahara Reporters fail to meet the demand contained in the letter within 7 days she will go ahead and seek for all remedy available in law
