Dauda Rarara: Police escorts in viral video shooting rifles arrested

Nigeria Police has said that its escorts attached to popularly Kano based Musician, Dauda Kahutu Rarara sighted in viral video shooting rifles in the air, in front of the civilians have been identified and arrested.

CSP Olumuyiwa Adejobi Force Public Relations Officer made this known in a statement issued.

He said these policemen have been identified and accordingly arrested in Kano, where they are served.

CSP Adejobi revealed that, “We have commenced necessary disciplinary actions on them. They will interview the IGP in Abuja on Tuesday. Definitely, they won’t go unpunished.”

Justice Watch News gathered some of the reactions currently going on by  Tweeter handlers.

Oluomo of derby said sometimes i just ask myself what type of country is Nigeria? Why is a musician getting police escort? A private citizen? The police officers shooting anyhow like they don’t understand the risks. Law enforcement officers behaving so badly. Unbelievable.

Alouibrahim also said totally, utterly condemnable. Poor weapons discipline, shabby weapons handling and reckless endangerment of self, ‘VIP, and most importantly, the crowd around the car as well as other passers by.

According to Datadata, I’m glad the riffle didn’t malfunction.

“That one on pistol accidentally discharged one shot before pointing to the air again. no gun safety whatsoever” The Don.

“Wait for your time. when you get there, I mean a level or position to deserve this honor they will do the same for you. Shooting on the air shows the RESPECT they have for RARARA. It means DAUDA is making them happy. You can also see that in the face of the Police” Adejare.

“This is a complete abuse of the Police. In a country where security is a challenge, a musician goes about with the Police and DSS operatives. Well, we saw how Jide Offor went to his village in the East like a Governor. This also happens in the SW with our celebrities.” Bayo Adedosu.
