A Kano State High Court presided over by Justice Hafsat Yahaya Sani has restrained Kano State Governor and 3 others from demolishing the building or revoking the Rights of Occupancy of the plots situated along BUK Road in Gwale LGA of Kano State, pending determination of the moton on notice.

The court granted the exparte application dated 4th July, 2023 by counsel to the Applicants, Barrister Ibrahim Adamu
The Application is supported by 8 paragraphs affidavit duly sworn to by Secretary in the Law Firm of Messrs Yakubu Na-Alah and Co.
“An order of Interim Injunction is granted to the Plaintiffs restraining the Defendants, by themselves, agents, privics, workmen or servants or anybody acting or claiming to act for them or on their behalf from talking any further step by way of encroaching, invading or demolition of the building, or revoking the Rights of Occupuncy issued or doing any other thing that may tamper with the position of the plots, subject matter in this suit, situated along BUK Road in Gwale Government Area of Kano State, pending determination of the motion on notice,” The Court ordered.

Justice Watch News gathered that the Respondents in suit include: Governor of Kano State, Attorney General of Kano State, Kano State Bureau for Land Management and Kano Urban Planning and Development.


Justice Sani adjourned the case to 26th October, 2023 for hearing of the Motion on Notice.
