Court restrains EFCC, Police from arresting NNPP Chieftain in Kano

A Kano State High Court presided over by Justice Sanusi Ado Ma’aji has restrained Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) Police and two other security agencies from arresting one Yusuf Imam, popularly known as Ogan Boye.

The respondents in the suit include: EFCC, AIG Zone 1, Director General DSS, Kano Commandant, NSCDC.

The Court gave the order upon an exparte application by Counsel to the Applicant, Barrister Fengak Obadiah Gokir.

Justice Ma’aji said upon perused the motion ex-parte together with 27 paragraphs affidavit duly sworn to by the Applicant Himself and written address filed and dated 22nd February.

The Order reads “That an order of interim injunction is granted to the Applicant restraining the Respondents either by themselves, agents, privies assigns or any other Person or persons in group or individually in whatever name or appellation called, acting for them or on their behalf directly or indirectly from inviting, harassing embarrassing, molesting and/or detaining the Applicant in connection to this mater or any other matter directly or indirecty related to this issue, pending the hearing and determination of the motion on notice.” The court ordered

The presiding Judge, Ma’aji adjourned the case to 8th March, 2023 for hearing of the Motion on notice.
