An Ikeja Chief Magistrates’ Court has ordered that a 52-year-old man, Sunday Anthony, should be remanded in Kirikiri Correctional Centre for allegedly raping his 17-year-old daughter.

The police charged Anthony, who resides on Ibro St, Yewa Estate, Isawo Road, Agric Ikorodu, Lagos, with rape.
Magistrate M.O. Tanimola, gave the order following a motion moved by the Prosecutor, ASP Victor Eruada, that the matter be referred to the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) for legal advice.

The magistrate, who did not take the plea of Anthony, also directed the prosecutor to duplicate the file and send it to the DPP for advice.
Tanimola, therefore, adjourned the case until Nov. 12.
Eruada had earlier said that Anthony committed the offense sometime in January and March at his residence.
