Court of Appeal Declares Zamfara Governorship Election Inconclusive, Orders Re-run in 3 LGAs

The Court of Appeal in Abuja has declared the Zamfara State Governorship Election as inconclusive and directed a re-run in three local government areas.

The affected local governments include Maradun, Birnin-Magaji, and Bukkuyum.

The decision stems from the court’s finding that the Zamfara State Election Petitions Tribunal failed to adequately consider the evidence presented by the appellants, the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Consquently, the results of the elections in the aforementioned local governments are as follows:

Maradun LG election results:
– APC: 24,855
– PDP: 12,261

Birnin-Magaji LG election results:
– APC: 9,643
– PDP: 8,991

Bukkuyum LG election results:
– APC: 10,321
– PDP: 24,341
