Kano State Consumer Protection Council (KSCPC) said it has successfully confiscated fake, expired and counterfeit drugs and other products worth N100 Million Naira in last 4 days.
Speaking to Newsmen the representative of the Acting Managing Director of the council Dr Baffa Babba Dan’agundi said the products were confiscated at Sabongari and other markets in the state metropolis
Baffa Babba who was represented by senior special assistant to the governor on KAROTA Nasiru Usman Na,ibawa explained that the seizures were made
between Friday April 2 to Monday April 5 2021.
The Acting Managing Director stated that the council will not relent in its effort towards curtailing the importation and selling of unwanted products that are dangerous to the life of people of Kano particularly in the holy holy month of Ramadan which is around the corner.
” The confiscated products include drugs, lemon flavour, sphagetti, macaroni and other consumables”.
He urged people to provide the council with intelligence report to reduce the circulation of fake and counterfeit products in the state.
