The Coalition of APC Media Pressure Groups in Kano State, led by Nura Na’annabi, has called for the immediate resignation of the state APC Chairman, Alhaji Abdullahi Abbas.
Speaking at a press conference on Sunday, the coalition accused Abbas of fostering internal crises, promoting divisive leadership, and engaging in alleged corrupt practices that have weakened the party’s structure.
Na’annabi cited “unguided utterances,” an “authoritative leadership style,” and actions they claim have “subverted the party” as grounds for their demand.

The group issued a deadline of July 5 for Abbas to step down, warning of legal action if he refuses.
The coalition linked the need for reform to the recent resignation of Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje as APC National Chairman and expressed optimism about the new acting chairman, Bukar Dalori.

He urged Dalori to dissolve all state executive councils, including Kano’s, to restore party unity and credibility.
Comrade Abdullahi Abubakar Dangarinnan also lent his voice to the call, stressing that revamping the state leadership is essential to bring back the party’s lost charisma.
According to the Dangarinnan these actions represent a “bold move” that could reshape the political landscape in Kano ahead of the 2027 elections.
