The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Kano Chapter, has described insecurity and economic hardship as catalysts for serious corruption and selfishness among leaders at all levels of governance in the country.
In a New Year message, Apostle Adeniyi Gideon Ogunbanwo, Secretary of the chapter, stated that corruption has pervaded almost every sector of national life.
He emphasized the need for collective responsibility to combat the menace.
Apostle Ogunbanwo urged Nigerians to seek God’s mercy on all citizens and called on leaders to revisit harsh policies that have caused untold hardship on Nigerians, with the aim of improving their lives. “Nigerian leaders, fear God and have mercy on the masses,” he said.
