BAMCOSA Introduces New Acting Leadership Committee

The Basic Mass Communication Old Students Association (BAMCOSA),  Goron Dutse, Kano has announced its new acting leadership committee from team of its dedicated alumni.

A statement by Aminu Garba Indabawa, Public Relations Officer I,  (BAMCOSA) said the Committee tasked with the mission to foster unity, encourage lifelong learning, and support the professional development of its members.

He said the proposed acting leadership is well-equipped with diverse expertise and a shared vision to enhance the value of mass communication education within and beyond the national borders.

He revealed that the leadership team is composed of the following members:

– Chairman: Isma’ila Ammai Mai Zare
– Deputy Chairman: Bashir Habib Yahya
– Secretary: Khalifa Shehu Dokaji
– Assistant Secretary: Halima Wada Sinkin
– Treasurer: Fatihu Isa Abdullahi
– Public Relation Officer I: Aminu Garba Indabawa
– Public Relations Officer II: Kawu Muhammad
– Organizing Secretary I: Sadik Gawuna Garba
– Organizing Secretary II: Farida Haruna Isma’il
– Academic/Professional Development Officer I: Rabiu Salisu
– Academic/ Professional Development Officer II: Musbahu Uba
– Director Finance I: Lurwanu Idris Malikawa Garu
– Deputy Director Finance: Khadija Isa Bala
– Legal Adviser I: Suleiman Ramat
– Legal Adviser II: Balarabe Muhammad Tela
– Auditor I: Musbahu Bala Chediya
– Auditor II: Suwaiba Muhammad
– Welfare Director I: Maryam Aliyu

He noted that the newly appointed leaders are set to guide BAMCOSA through a period of strategic growth and development.

He stressed that their collective aim is to create a strong network of communication professionals who will actively contribute to the development of media literacy and mass education globally.

According to the statement further, in his acceptance speech the Chairman of the Association Isma’ila Ammai Mai Zare, stated that “It is a privilege to lead such a vibrant community of mass communication experts. Together, we will build on our solid foundation and take BMCOSA to new heights through collaboration, innovation, and dedication to lifelong learning.”

The Chairman continued that the leadership committee is planning to roll out a series of initiatives that will provide ongoing training, networking opportunities, and support for its members, noting, these initiatives will include partnerships with industry leaders, academic institutions, and other professional associations to enrich the experiences and skills of BMCOSA members.

“BMCOSA invites all members, media practitioners, and stakeholders in the field of mass education to support and engage with the new leadership committee as they embark on this exciting new chapter.”
