An amalgamation of Kano Youth Groups has stated that the Renewed Hope Initiative will soon address the escalating hardship across the country.
Addressing Journalists, in Kano, Convener Musaddiq Wada Waziri and Co-Convener Jamilu Haruna respectively said given the assurances received and the demonstration of intent, it is the desire of the amalgamation to discourage any attempt for a chaotic assembly that may eventually lead to widespread destruction of lives and property
The Amalgamation said it acknowledged the preponderance of the rising cost of living, leading to great difficulty for citizens to make ends meet.
Stressing this has triggered a tendency for volatile reactions across communities, worsening cases of theft, pillaging, and plunder in rural and urban communities.
“We wish to recall the doomsday forecasts of the recent past by professional economists, predicting these difficult times within this decade, particularly in relation to erroneous means of currency stabilisation and fuel subsidy administration over many years in Nigeria.”

“Also, three months ago, numerous groups comprising of young politicians were invited to a round table by the Renewed Hope Initiative across different states. In Kano, Umar Mai Dattako delivered a resounding message to the delegation, seeking youth to be truly empowered through funding of their education, provision of skills, and grant of high-end opportunities for political participation. This resonated with everyone in attendance.”
He maintained that the Renewed Hope Initiative gave assurances around the advent of the following;
Student Loan Scheme, which has commenced under the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND)
The Micro Enterprise Grant of N50,000, N25,000 and N20,000 which has commenced with around a quarter of our members having received benefit, while three quarters are to be credited before year’s end.
The direct participation of the ONSA in rescue and preventive operations related to kidnapping
