Nasir Buba, the husband of Tasleem Baba Nabegu, who was allegedly arrested with suspended Jigawa State Commissioner Auwalu Danladi Sankara, has appealed to Kano State Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf and Jigawa State Governor Mallam Umar Namadi to refrain from intervening in the ongoing case.
He urged them to let justice run its course, ensuring a fair outcome.
In a chat with Journalists today Tuesday, Mr. Buba called on the Governors to consider their role as leaders and fathers who have daughters.
Alhaji Nasiru Buba expressed dissatisfaction with the unfolding events and urged Governors Abba Kabir Yusuf and Mallam Umar Namadi of Kano and Jigawa States respectively to uphold justice and fear Allah in the case involving his wife, Tasleem Baba Nabegu, and suspended Jigawa State Commissioner Auwalu Danladi Sankara.

He also cautioned lawyers representing his wife to refrain from misleading the court.
“I want to clarify that I have not divorced my wife, Tasleem. Although we previously separated for 4-5 months, we reconciled and have been living together since. In fact, Hisba Officials recently arrested her in my car, which I purchased just two months ago. We also have a baby less than one year old. Therefore, claims of our divorce are entirely false.”
He clarified that there are two separate cases that include a Direct Complaint he filed before the court and a case instituted by Hisbah after arresting the defendants in an uncompleted building.
The defendants were granted bail on the condition that they appear on Tuesday for arraignment, but they failed to show up.

This development comes after Sankara’s arrest with Tasleem in an uncompleted building, sparking allegations of adultery and prompting Jigawa State Governor Umar Namadi to suspend Sankara and establish a five-member investigation panel.
The Kano Upper Shari’a Court is set to begin hearings on the criminal complaint against Sankara and Tasleem, with Nasiru Buba’s counsel seeking an investigation into the alleged affair.
Presiding Judge, Mallam Sarki Yola ordered AIG Zone 1 to conduct a discreet investigation into the allegation and reassigned the case to another judge for the trial.

However during the court proceedings today, counsel to Tasleem Baba Nabegu told the court that the relationship between Auwalu Sankara and Tasleem Nabegu was strictly commercial, as she owned a restaurant and he was merely a customer purchasing food from her.
