AIG Zone 1 assures adequate security coverage

The Assistant Inspector General of Police, AIG Zone 1, Sadik Bello has assured people of kano and jigawa states and indeed all Nigerians, that the zone 1 police command is prepared to protect lives and properties of citizens during the Eid el kabir festivities.

In a statement by SP. Rabilu Ubayi Ringim,
Acting Zonal Public Relations Officer said the AIG has since ordered the deployment of plain cloth operatives, conventional policemen, mobile policemen, counter terrorist policemen and other tactical teams at all Eld-el-kabir praying ground s, recreational centres and other public places across the two commands.

” He therefore warns all those who want to use the period to forment trouble or cause any disruption of public peace to desist as the command will not hesitate to clamp down on any miscreant,”

” Similarly, the AIG calls on the general public to be security conscious report any suspicious person/movement to the nearest police station for immediate intervention.”

The statement maintained that the two command commissioners of police have also been directed to cooperate with sister security agencies and other critical stakeholders to ensure hitch-free Eld-el-kabir celebration.

In the statement, the Assistant Inspector General of Police extended his warmest regards to all Muslims faithful and other citizens in the two commands while advising them to observed all Covid-19 protocols.
