Assistant Inspector General of Police, Zone 1, AIG Ahmad Ammani, on Thursday decorated 11 police officers with their new ranks.
Addressing the promotees after the decoration ceremony held in his office, AIG Ammani urged them to continue exhibiting good conduct for their subordinates to emulate.
He also urged them to redouble their commitment to ensuring peace, stability, law, and order in Nigeria.
AIG Ammani added, “I want to congratulate you on these achievements and remind you that each promotion comes with added responsibility. You must work hard to prove yourselves worthy of this promotion.”
He maintained that Police Service Commission approved with their promotion upon recommendation of Inspector General of Police IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun.

Sheikh Aminu Ibrahim Daurawa, Commander General of the Hisba Board, in his speech, emphasized the importance of collaboration between Hisba operatives and the Nigeria Police to maintain security and peace in the state.
According to Sheikh Daurawa, the mandate of Hisba operatives is to support the police in ensuring a safe and peaceful environment.
He highlighted the strong relationship between the Nigeria Police and the Hisba Board, both officially and personally.

He also stressed that the Hisba Board seeks support from the police whenever needed.
Furthermore, Sheikh Daurawa urged the government to prioritize the welfare of police officers and their families, recognizing their crucial role in maintaining law and order.
Earlier, Commander of the Special Protection Unit of Zone 1 Headquarters, Chief Superintendent of Police (CSP) Magaji Musa Majia, stated that the officers who benefited from the promotion include:- 1 Superintendent of Police (SP) promoted to Chief Superintendent of Police (CSP), 5 Deputy Superintendents of Police (DSPs) promoted to Superintendents of Police (SPs), and 5 Assistant Superintendents of Police (ASPs) promoted to Deputy Superintendents of Police (DSPs).
