Kano State Shari’a Court presided over by
Dr Bello Khalid has ordered that Aliyu Sani,23, Abdulsamad Ibrahim,20 and Murtala Yahaya,22, be remanded in Correctional centre for allegedly stealing two security flood light lamp worth N26,000.

The trio arraigned on four-count charges bordering on criminal conspiracy, trespass, theft and stolen property.
The First Information Report (FIR) revealed that one Hadiza Inuwa of Dogarai Quarters Kano reported the matter at Gwale Police Division Kano on Dec.29, 2021.

Acccording to the report on same date at about 1:30p.m. the defendants allegedly conspired and trespassed into Yasmin Event Centre situated along BUK Road and stole away two security flood light lamps worth N26,000.
“The defendants sold the lamps to unknown persons at Kurmi Market Kano at the rate of N20,000.
” During investigation the sum of N14,35O was found in their possession as exhibit”
The prosecutor Inspector Abdul Wada told the court that the offence contravened the provision of sections 120, 213, 133 and 199 Kano State Sharia Penal Code Law, 2000.
The defendants, however, pleaded guilty to the charge and prayed the court to temper justice with mercy.

The Presiding Judge, Dr Bello Khalid, ordered that the defendants be remanded in Correctional centre.
He adjourned the case to 7th February, 2022 for sentence.
