25 Cattle Found in Sokoto, Police Seek Owners

Police Operatives in Sokoto Command have successifully recovered 25 cattle following a report from Alhaji Muhammad Kabir Kyari, Marafan Gada, District head of Gada.

DSP Ahmad Rufa’i, Police Public Relations Officer Sokoto state command made the disclosure in a statement.

He said the recovery effort was initiated after Alhaji Idi “M”, former Village Head of Gidan Rabami Village (Gada LGA), informed authorities that the cattle were discovered in a forest near Gidan Rabami Village, bordering Sabon Birni Local Government Area.

The PPRO further said “The cattle have since been transported to Gada Division Headquarters for safekeeping. Authorities are now making concerted efforts to locate the rightful owners.”

DSP Rufa’i urged owners of the recovered cattle to visit the Gada Division Headquarters with valid proof of ownership to claim their animals.

“The public is also requested to assist in disseminating this information to ensure a swift reunion between the livestock and their owners.”
