Katsina Command of Nigeria Police says it has successfully arrested one Usama Tijjani, 31 year old man who alleged to have been specialized in deceiving unsuspecting ladies by luring them into hotels and defrauding them.
Superintendent Gambo Isah, Katsina Command’s Spokesperson, disclosed this at a press briefing.
He explained that Usama Tijjani, a resident of Dorayi Quarters, Gwale LGA in Kano state was arrested following a series of complaints from ladies in Katsina metropolis, that the said suspect specialized in tricking and deceiving young girls whom he come across through social media platforms and inviting them to hotels in various states, sleep with them and ran away from the hotels after stealing their GSM phones, money and other valuables.
He maintained that nemesis caught up with the suspect when he lured one of such girls an indigene of Katsina to a hotel in Kano, with a promise to pay her fifty thousand naira (N50,000), after spending a night with her, at the early morning hours, while she was taking her bath, the suspect stole away her GSM Phones, money, other valuables and ran away from the hotel.
Furthermore, according to the Spokesman the suspect used the victim’s stolen phone at different time intervals tricked three of her friends, lured them into hotels in Zaria, Kaduna state, using the same modus operandi and stole away their GSM phones, money and other valuables.
He further explained that, In the course of investigation, suspect confessed to the commission of the offence stating that he will be arraigned in court as soon as investigation is completed.
Similarly in the same vein, SP Isah pointed out that the command arrested one Saifullahi Usman a 32 year old man a suspected kidnapper.
He said on 24th December, 2021 at about 2100hrs, the Command succeeded in arresting the suspect at Unguwar Amare Quarters, Malumfashi LGA of Katsina state.

” Luck ran out of the suspect, when he hides his number and called one Shafi’u Mohammed, ‘M’, of Kililin Quarters, Malumfashi LGA, and threatened to kill, kidnap him or any of his relations if he fails to pay a ransom of fifty thousand naira (N50,000:00K),”
“Police detectives apprehended the suspect at a location where he went to pick up the ransom money. In the course of investigation, suspect confessed to the commission of the offence.”
He added that Investigation is ongoing.
