The Jigawa State Commandant Mustapha Talba has paid a courtesy visit to the State Commander, National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), Jigawa State Command.
In a statement by CSC Adamu Shehu Command’s Public Relations Officer said the Commandant was at the NDLEA State Headquarters to announce his arrival, introduce himself and seek for support and collaboration.
He reiterated his willingness to partner with all sister security agencies in the State towards providing security of lives and property to the citizenry.
The State Commandant cited example of the recent arrest made by his personnel of a suspected drug dealer and the immediate transfer of the suspect to the NDLEA for further investigation and possible prosecution.NSCDC Parades Suspects In Connection With Rape, Sodomy And Theft in Jigawa
He said the arrest was not to intrude on their mandate but rather to assist in the fight against crime and criminality which is the primary aim of every security formation.
He also congratulated the State Commander on her promotion to the new rank of Assistant Commander General of Narcotics (ACGN).
The State Commandant was accompanied by Muntaka Hussaini (DCC), and Abubakar Inuwa Tashi (DCC), Heads of Operations and Administrations Departments respectively.
In her welcome address, the State Commander of Narcotics Hajiya Maryam Gambo Sani appreciated the State Commandant for the visit, and equally congratulated him for the successful operation which led to the arrest of the notorious drug peddler that was handed over to her office.
She also affirmed her resolve towards collaboration and peaceful coexistence with NSCDC.
Highlights of the visit included presentation of the NDLEA magazine (NDLEA Today) to the State Commandant, signing of visitors register, exchange of directories and group photographs.
