Kano State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, (NUJ) has felicitated with Muslims faithful on the occasion of Eid-el Kabir festival.
In a statement jointly signed by Chairman and Secretary of the Council, Comrade Abbas Ibrahim and Comrade Abba Murtala respectively said the council celebrated with its members and Nigerians in general as they join the rest of the world to commemorate the Eid-el-Kabir festivity.
The in the statement, the union urged Nigerians regardless of ethnic or religious affiliations to work in synergy with security agencies so as to collectively defeat the evil doers holding the nation down.
” The NUJ used the opportunity and called on citizens to strictly adhere to the COVID-19 protocols as the new Delta variant was confirmed in the country.
” It also enjoined people to ensure proper dumping of animal waste so as to guard against the outbreak of any disease.
” The union calls on people to fully participate in the ongoing voter registration across the country urging the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC to strengthen its apparatuses to ensure smooth conduct of the continuous Voter Registration in the state.”
The union therefore extended its felicitations to Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, the Emir of Kano, Alh. Aminu Ado Bayero and emirs of Bichi, Rano, Gaya and Karaye on the occasion of Eid-el-Kabir celebrations.
