Court Discharges Former NBA President In 1.4B Alleged Fraud Case

The Federal High Court sitting in Lagos, has discharged former President of the Nigerian Bar Association, NBA, Paul Usoro SAN, from the charges of laundering 1.4 billion Naira on behalf of the Akwa Ibom State government.

Justice Rilwan Aikawa upheld the no case to answer submission made by the lawyers of Mr Usoro and discharged him of the charges.

The Charges were brought against the Ex-NBA President by the Economic and Financial crimes commission, EFCC.

Anti Corruption Group May Sue Adoke, Asks NBA to Sanction Legal Team

The court held that the charges against Usoro was defective and unknown to law.
