Kano State Consumer Protection Council (KSCPC) has uncovered and raided a house where a fake engine oil is produced.
The house was located at Rijiyar Lemo quarters in Fagge local government area.
The Managing Director of the council Dr Baffa Babba Dan’agundi disclosed this adding that another place has also been identified by the council at kwanar Ungogo where about three hundred gallons of pirated engine oil labelled with logos and stickers of different engine oil companies were confiscated.
Dr Baffa Babba Dan’agundi who was represented by the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on KAROTA Nasiru Usman Na’ibawa also said the products which were confirmed to be fake and adulterated can cause damage to vehicles engine and other generators.
He said all the products were taken to the council’s warehouse for further investigation and necessary action will be taken against the unscrupulous persons who are dealing in such kind of business.
In another development Kano State Consumer Protection Council has confiscated about two trucks load of sacks of animal feeds mixed with rice dust at Singa market.
The Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on KAROTA Nasiru Usman Na’ibawa said the council got information about the animal feeds from a customer who bought it from the market and the council confirmed it to be adulterated.

Information Officer, KSCPC noted that the council realised the culprits use the sacks of a registered animal feeds company for rebagging their products.
