KSCPC, KAROTA Intercept Truck Loaded With Damaged Wafa Biscuits

Kano State Consumer Protection Council in collaboration with Kano Road Traffic Agency KAROTA have intercepted a truck loaded with damaged wafa biscuits.

The Managing Director of the council Dr Baffa Babba Dan’agundi said the truck was intercepted at Gundutse village in Kura Local Government Area along Zaria road.

Dan’agundi represented by the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on KAROTA Nasiru Usman Na’ibawa also said that the council got a report from a good citizen of Kano about the truck which was carrying 150 sacks of damaged wafa biscuits.

Information Officer, Kano State Consumer Protection Council noted that the report revealed that vehicle was heading to Kofa village in Minjibir Local Government Area.

It could be recall that few months ago a house in the same village Kofa was raided by the council and confiscated about six hundred sacks of damaged biscuits, cheese balls and candy sweet which were being repackaged and sold to the people in the markets.

The truck was already taken to the council’s warehouse for further investigation.
