Kano State Fire Service has said that no fewer than 9 Persons have lost their lives and properties worth N25.8 Million were destroyed by fire incident that occurred in the state.
In a statement by Saminu Yusuf Abdullahi, Public Relations Officer of the Service said the record was for the last month of June, 2021.
” Under the Leadership of Director Alhaji Hassan Ahmad Muhammad, in the last month of June 2021, State Fire Service received an emergency calls from our 27 fire stations across the state, in the month under review, we received a fire calls, rescue calls and false alarms,”
In the statement, the PRO gave the details of the record of the month under review as follows:
” Fire Calls 50, rescue Calls 62, False alarms 18, Estimated properties destroyed by fire N25.8 Million, Estimated properties save N45.4 Million,”
Similarly, the statement stated that in the last month of June, 2021, no few than 9 persons lost their lives by fire incident noted that 89 lives were rescued.
The statement advised general public to handle fire through the use of precaution measures to avoid inferno.
It further enjoined public to abide by the traffic laws to avoid road traffic crashes.
” parents should be more vigilant on the movement of their wards and strictly admonish against local swimming in a pond, river or any dangerous place”.
