KSCP Discovers Werehouse Where Expired, Damaged Foodstuffs Repakaging

Kano State Consumer Protection Council has identified a warehouse where expired and damaged foodstuffs are being rebagged.

This was disclosed by Musbahu Aminu Yakasai, Information Officer of the Council in a statement.

” The council found that expired and damaged Spaghetti, Noodles and Biscuits are being repackaged in the warehouse which is located at Kera village in Ungogo Local Government Area,”

The statement also said Acting Managing Director of the council Dr. Baffa Babba Dan’agundi who was represented by the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on KAROTA affairs Nasiru Usman Na’ibawa said the council has already evacuated three full loaded trucks of the foodstuff from the place and taken to the council’s warehouse for further investigation.

In the statement, Dan’agundi warned people especially businessmen to desist from such evil act noting that anybody caught will be dealt with accordingly.
