Police Arrests 3 Armed Robbery Suspects in Jigawa


Jigawa State Command of Nigeria Police said it has successfully arrested 3 suspected armed robbers in Gumel LGA of the state.

A statement by ASP Lawan Adam, Acting PPRO, Jigawa Command said the Trio were apprehended after they attacked one Sale Aliyu a complainant, who alleged to have beat him with stick and robbed his motorcycle.

” On 23/06/2021 at about 2300hrs an information received through the complainant Sale Aliyu, 22, of Kukayasku village, Maigatari LGA that on the same date at about 2200hrs while him and other two were coming from Mele village Gumel LGA to Kukayasku on motorcycle boxer black in color with reg no. KJ 912 QL.
The following persons: Muhammad Hassan, 30,of Mele village, Mutari Gambo, 25, of Mele village and Umar Saminu, 25, of Gumel town attacked him with sticks, beat him up and snatched his motorcycle”.

Police Arrests Foreigner Supplying Guns, Ammunition to Bandits in Zamfara

The statement noted that immediately after the incident reported, a patrol team was mobilized and  rushed to the scene and suspects were apprehended.

It stated that the victim was taken to Gumel General Hospital for treatment.

The Statement added that investigation is still on going.
