The Kano State Government has urged Nigerian youths to utilized the economic opportunities provided to them by both Federal and State Governments to become self-reliant and successful in the future.
The Secretary to the State Government ( SSG) Alhaji Usman Alhaji disclose this while presenting appointment letters and tablets to the trained Independent Monitors for the Federal Social Investment Programme held at the Coronation Hall, Government House, Kano.
Alhaji Usman Alhaji further charged the beneficiaries to see their appointment as well-deserved and enjoined them to be more committed in the discharge of their mandates to justify the confidence reposed in them.
Alhaji rated Kano as of the best in humanitarian services, stating that Kano State has the highest number of civil servants in the country but promptly paying salary every month.
The SSG maintained that Governor Ganduje led Adminstration has excelled in the areas of security, effective management of Covid-19, among others.
Earlier in his speech, the Permanent Secretary of the Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and and Social Development said from inception, the Federal Government had rolled out several intervention programs with a view of creating wealth among the citizenry, particularly the Youths.
In a statement by Musa Tanko Muhammad, Public Relations Officer, Cabinet Office, explained that the beneficiaries were specially engaged to monitor and ensure that Federal Government’s interventions reached target beneficiaries.
