The Federal Fire Service has condoled and sympathized with the victims of recent fire incident that occurred in Al-ihsan filling station sharada, Kano State.
Speaking to Justice Watch News after he visited the Victims that were admitted at Murtala Muhammad Specialist Hospital Kano, the Controller General, Federal Fire Service, Liman Alhaji Ibrahim said he came to Kano to sympathize with State Government, People of the State and Victims over the recent unfortunate fire incident.
The Controller General, represented by Assistant Controller General, Zone B pointed out that the entire Federal Fire Service personnel felt very sad about the unfortunate incident.
The CGF also called on Filling Stations to avoid uploading petrol during afternoon noting that fuel is inflammable product.
His words ” Avoid uploading petrol during afternoon period due to the excessive heat that can cause the ignition of fire. But is better to do so in the late evening or night period when weather is cool
” Uploading fuel when there is heat, the intensity can lead to the possiblity and high risk of ignition by fuel oxygen surrounding atmosphere.”
He enjoined security agencies to as a matter of urgency be responding to fire scene to halt people from going near the fire scene to prevent calamity.
” Let me on behalf of all Personnel in the Federal Fire Service across the country, appreciate the medical and health workers as well as all other stakeholders who participated in the rescue
exercise during the inferno,”
” We wish all the Victims a speedy recovery and pray for the prevention of future occurance”.
Justice Watch News Learnt that the Controller General donated unspecified cash of money to each victim at Murtala Special Hospital Kano to alleviate the suffering causing by the incidence.
