Jigawa State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps has deployed 1,300 personnel to the 27 Local Government Areas of the State to provide maximum security before, during and after the Eid-el-fitr celebration.
The State Commandant, Alhaji Garba Muhammad approved the deployment order during the regular Monday muster parade at the Command Headquarters, Dutse.
He said the deployed personnel will provide security at the prayer grounds, recreational centres, durbar routes among others.
” Mobile and Stationed vehicular patrol would be maintained 24 hours to ensure maximum surveillance across the State.
” The Anti-vandal operatives will be stationed at government buildings and installations, as well as other Critical National Infrastructural facilities to intensify surveillance and provide security.
The State Commandant further called on residents to co-operate with his personnel by reporting any suspicious activity or movement around them for appropriate action.
He also advised the general public to ensure compliance on COVID 19 guidelines such as avoiding crowded places and wearing of protective face masks.
