Nigerian Army Denies Media Reports That Boko Haram control Damasak


The Nigerian Army has refuted reports in section of media that Boko Haram terrorists have overran and in control of Damsak town describing it as blatant misinformation

Director Army Public Relations, Brigadier General Muhammad Yerima in a statement said there was an attack by the terrorists sometimes yesterday (Wednesday) nothing that the army troops were effectively repelled the attack.

” As we speak, troops are in total control of the general area and as can be seen in the attached video, the Commander of 5 Brigade, Brigadier General SS Tilawan is driving round the town earlier this afternoon to assess the general situation following the cowardly attack by the terrorists who sneaked in from the northern flank in active collaboration of some local informants”.
