Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) Jigawa State Command on Monday issued a month ultimatum for all private guard companies operating in the State to fulfill the mandatory operational requirements or risk closure.
In a statement by the Command Public Relations Officer SC Shehu Adamu noted that the decision was imperative to enhance the operational performance and effectiveness of the companies.

SC Shehu stated that the Command enjoined all operators in the State to validate their licenses, avail guards for training by the NSCDC, Open State Operational offices, and fulfill all other written operational guidelines as enshrined in the PGC Act.
” The NSCDC Act 2007 as amended, empowered the Corps to monitor and supervise the activities of Private Guard Companies as stated in Section 3(1) subsection (b), (c) and (d)”.
It added that the registration will commence from 1st April to 30th, 2021
