Police, Victim’s Mother Testify in Kano Missing Child Case.


Kano State High Court presided over by Justice Dije Abdu Aboki has adjourned its sitting until June 8 2021, in a criminal case against Amina Ibrahim Gara and 9 other co – defendants who were alledged to have kidnapped one Aliyu Dauda a 2 year old boy at kawon Lambu, Hotoro Quarters in Nassarawa LGA.

The Prosecution Counsel, Barrister Tijjani Ibrahim alledged that on May 22, 2017 the Defendants conspired among themselves and went to Lubabatu Mallam Ali home pretended to buy  a Day Old Chicken and kidnapped her son Dauda Ali with the intention to sold him outside kano.

When the case resumed today Monday for the commencement of hearing, Prosecution Counsel Barrister Tijjani Ibrahim called 4 witnesses including mother of the victim Lubabatu Mallam Ali who testified before the court.

In her testimony, Lubabatu Mallam Ali alledged that Umar Aliyu went to her house with the intent to buy chicken but later according to her he ran into her room and picked her 2 year old son and took him to Amina Ibrahim Gara house.

The mother confirmed to the court that the boy later died after 2 months with the incident.

Similarly in their testimonies before the court, 3 Policemen who investigated the incident told the court how defendants allegdely kidnapped Aliyu Dauda from Lubabatu Mallam Ali’s residence

The Defendants are Zainab Salisu, Umar Aliyu, Mustapha Rabiu, Ibrahim Aliyu, Abubakar Salisu, Fatima Salisu, Amina Ibrahim Gara, Tessy Chukwu and Christiana Uju.
