Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps, Jigawa State Command said it has apprehended 3 suspected armed robbery in the state.
In a statement by the Command’s Public Relations Officer SC Adamu Shehu sent to justicewatchnews.com said the trio were successfully arrested following a complaint by one Yakubu Abubakar, 60, a residence of Sarkakiya Village, in Taura LGA.
He stated that 4 other persons lodged similar complain to the command on different occasions.
“The complainants reported that some people gained unlawful entry into their homes at midnight and stole their livestock valued at N98 Thousand Naira while they were asleep
” The NSCDC Intelligence and Investigation Team took their investigation to the crime scene and were able to spot an abandoned functional GSM handset which was used to arrest the suspects”. The statement said
SC Adamu Shehu also said the suspects confessed to the alleged crime and will charged to court when investigation is concluded by the command.
The PRO identified the suspects as Suleiman Abdullahi (baba), 30, Takai, Taura LGA, Sa’idu Abdu,23, Bitirinawa, Taura LGA, and Shuaibu Ibrahim, 25, Margawa, Ringim LGA,
SC Shehu added that the NSCDC, Jigawa Command is working tirelessly to protect state against any form criminal and criminalities in the state
