The Kano State Magistrate Court Number 12 presided over by Chief Magistrate Muhammad Jibril has ordered Kano State Government and Sheikh Abduljabar Muhammad Nasiru Kabara to maintained status quo on the order earlier granted by the court on 4th of February, pending the hearing and determination of motion on notice.
It could be recalled that that the court on 4th February closed Sheikh Abduljabar Mosque and all other places of worship located at filin mushe with immediate effect pending the outcome of investigation being conducted by Security Agencies in Kano State.
” Sheikh Abduljabar Kabara shall with immediate effect stop all preaching activities and unguarded utterances calculated to cause breach of Public peace in Kano State” the order stated.
During the proceeding on Friday a Kano based Legal Practioners Barrister Ma,aruf Muhammad Yakasai, prayed the court to grant him leave joint the list of defendants as an Interested Party.
The Lawyer through his counsel, Barrister Lukman Abdallah said his Client has the legal right to joint the party as an indigene of Kano State.
Chief Magistrate Muhammad Jibril adjourned the case to 22th March, 2021 for hearing.
Justicewatchnews.com learned that the Kano State Government billed to hold the purported Dialogue between Sheikh Abduljabar and Some Clerics from different Sect of Islamic Religion in the State.
However, the Kano State Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice Kano Barr. Musa Abdullahi Lawan said State Government will abide by the order of maintaining status quo.
