Jigawa State Command of Nigeria Police says its operatives attached to Sule Tankarkar Police Station have succeeded in arresting one Garba Bulama Audu ‘m’ age 40yrs, Abdullahi Salisu Gawo ‘m’ age 30yrs all of Tseme Fulani Settlement Gumel LGA over alleged involvement in Harbouring Notorious Armed robber and Kidnapper who happened to be on top of the Command’s wanted list.
On interrogation separately, one of the suspect disclosed to that, he serves as a cyclist (Okada rider) to the suspected Armed Robber/ Kidnapper whenever he arrives in the village while the other one revealed that, the said wanted kidnapper usually brought his caps to his laundry room, as he specialized on washing caps.

ASP Abubakar Isah, second in command, Police Public Relations Officer, Jigawa State Command hinted this in a statement.
He said effort is being intensified to arrest the fleeing suspect.
He also said “Following the directives given by the Commissioner of Police Jigawa State Command CP AT Abdullahi to all Divisional Police Officers in the command to embark on massive raids in all black spots and criminal hideouts in their Area of Responsibilities (AORs) in his efforts to reduce the crime and criminalities to the berest minimum across the state through effective crime control.”
“On 16th December, 2023 at about 0200hrs to 1900hrs, gallant men from Dutse and Yankwashi Divisional Police Headquarters acted on credible intelligence, raided criminal hideout at Gindin Dinya, Zai Hills, Danmasara Quarters, and Jama’ar Mallam Hassan village all in Dutse and Yankwashi LGA respectively.” He further said.

He explained that during the raids, twenty-four (25) suspects were arrested including one Sagiru Lamara ‘m’ age 23yrs of Rankwace village, one Ashiru Abdulhamidu ‘m’ age 22yrs of Bakin Jeji village and one Auwalu Yau ‘m’ age 24yrs of Zai Village who are all wanted drug dealers terrorizing Dutse metropolis, and one Shafi’u Umar alias Dandi ‘m’ age 28yrs, Abdullahi Sule ‘m’ age 30yrs and Buhari Idris ‘m’ 23yrs all of Jama’ar Mallam Hassan village, happened to be habitual wrongdoers who specialized in shops breaking and theft.
He stated that One hundred and four (134) wraps of dried leaves suspected to be Indian hemp, thirty (30) tablets of Diazepam, one (1) sachet of tramadol, six (6) pieces of Rubber Solutions, four (4) bottles of suck and die, a long Knife and (3) small knives, two bags (2) of rice, one bag of groundnut, five (5) handsets, eight (8) handset batteries, two (2) pliers, iron rod were recovered in their possession as an exhibits.

He added thet on 18th December, 2023 at about 0730hrs, one Musa Habibu ‘m’ 27yrs of Garin Maja Niger Republic, reported at Babura Police Station that on 17th Dec. 2023 at about 1745hrs, two (2) suspected phone snatchers, attacked his sister one Bara’atu Habibu ‘f’ 19yrs of Garin Maja Niger Republic at Babura market and collected her phone Tecno A33 product with the sum of six thousand naira (₦6,000.00k).
“On receipt of the information, Policemen on patrol were detailed.
“Consequently, one Nura Musa ‘m’ age 17yrs Jale Quarters, Gumel LGA and one Salisu Yakubu ‘m’ 18yrs of Gujungu town, Taura LGA were arrested alongside the exhibits.”
“On interrogation, the suspects confessed to the commission of the offence.” ASP Isah maintained.
He noted that upon completion of the investigation at State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) Dutse, all suspects arrested will be charged to court for prosecution.
